Uncommon in the United States. Casual in California and West Texas. Scarce in Arizona and New Mexico. It is sometimes found from southeastern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico south into Mexico to Michoacán and Hidalgo, and possibly as far as the states of Puebla and México. |

Red/orange bill with a black tip, violet crown, white throat, greenish tail. Upper parts are bronze green. |
