Characteristics and Identification |
This beautiful dark-brown, cinnamon colored hummingbird has a lilac-gold lower back and rump, a rufous throat, and a short black bill. In the right light, the back will display lovely iridescent shades of purple, green, and gold. Male and female are similar. Classified as Least Concern. |
