Characteristics and Identification
Drab in color with a long, straight bill and a white stripe below and behind the eye, a pinkish or orangish red throat, a short tail, a white stripe on the rump, and white tail tips. The IUCN has designated the Plain-capped Starthroat as being of Least Concern.
